What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN - PRT position at Osage Nation Health Center?
The Licensed Practical Nurse will assist Primary Residential Treatment (PRT) clients in achieving optimal levels of wellness, self-management, and functioning capability during their assigned 12-hour shift (7am-7pm, or 7pm-7am). The LPN will offer licensure level appropriate nursing skills to all PRT clients. All duties will be performed under the guidance of the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have completed an accredited LPN program and have obtained a current, unrestricted
- Nursing License from the State of Oklahoma.
- Current BLS for healthcare providers certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
General Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Mental Health or Substance Abuse is preferred
- Experience in administering medication both orally and by intra-muscular injections; reporting and recording vital signs;
- Knowledge of human body structure, function, illnesses and/or disease entities, and skill sufficient to communicate with nurses, patients, family members and clinic staff.
- Experience in observation, recording, and reporting patient information accurately and efficiently.
- ACLS/PALS certification preferred
- Knowledge of and ability to apply principles of growth and development, providing age-appropriate care to patients served.
- Requires a self-motivated, high energy, individual with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics, always maintaining confidentiality, as well as problem solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Requires walking, sitting, recurring bending, lifting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling, rarely over 50 pounds
- Must take at least 6 continuing education units per year
- Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including traveling to training conferences.
- Must maintain a professional attitude
- Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol testing and have a clean
- driving record – may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles
