Operating Room RN Circulator - UT Medical Center Orthopedic Institute - Hospital Site

Join the KOC team on site at KOC at UT Medical Center, the Region's only Academic and Level 1 Trauma Center. This role will support the Orthopedic Institute, one of UT Medical Center's 9 Centers of Excellence, through a long-standing partnership with KOC providers. We are currently seeking two full-time Operating Room RN Circulators for a day and middle shift, who is committed to providing superior service and eager to grow within a highly respected orthopaedic practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in highly specialized ortho surgical procedures including ortho trauma at a Level 1 trauma center
• Work closely with surgeons to optimize patient outcomes
• Prepare operating room for surgeries

• Understand, advocate, and maintain sterile parameters

• Stock supplies, assist room turnovers, participate in precepting, expiration date checks, and additional assigned tasks

• Complete documentation, preoperative review, sterile prep, universal timeout, specimen management, surgical counts, etc.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Tennessee Registered Nursing License

• BSN Preferred
• Basic RN experience required; surgery experience preferred; 3-4 month training with no surgery experience
• BLS and ACLS (can be obtained at hire)
• Ability to support holiday coverage and take call requiring a 30-minute response capability
• Support the specialties of Sports Medicine, Orthopaedic Trauma, Total Joint, Upper and Lower Extremity, Ortho Spine, Mako Robotics, Complex Revision and much more

• Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance standards

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Work in a busy orthopaedic surgery environment

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and independently
