Orion Solutions Group is working with a privately held transportation brokerage firm in search of a driven and entrepreneurially minded Account Executive – Temperature Controlled to join our growing team in Fort Worth, TX. This is a high-impact, cradle-to-grave sales role focused on building a book of business from the ground up. You’ll be responsible for sourcing and closing new clients, managing your own carrier network, and overseeing freight execution from pickup to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and close new truckload shipping customers through cold calling, networking, and industry outreach.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to onboarding and long-term account retention.
  • Develop and maintain your own carrier relationships to ensure cost-effective, reliable service.
  • Book freight, negotiate rates, and monitor shipments through delivery.
  • Maintain regular communication with both customers and carriers to ensure service expectations are met.
  • Identify opportunities to expand wallet share within existing accounts.
  • Track activity and performance using internal systems and CRM tools.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a truckload brokerage or transportation sales role.
  • Proven success in developing new business and managing the full sales cycle.
  • Strong understanding of FTL (Full Truckload) brokerage operations and carrier management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment.
