What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Environment Technician I position at Orange County Government?
The work is primarily responsible for performing a variety of scheduled custodial services to maintain the cleanliness of County facilities. An employee in this class is responsible for collecting and disposing of refuse, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms and replenishing soap, toilet paper and towels.
Work is performed under the limited supervision of a Facilities Environment Technician III with some leeway to exercise independent judgment within the framework of applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in the performance of duties, both in terms of planning and accomplishing work, and in making decisions regarding customer needs and requests and conducting project assignments. Supervision over others is not required of this position. Position does related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) year of work experience in cleaning commercial facilities.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Possession of a valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
All offers of employment are conditioned upon successful clearance of a background and Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) check, Fitness-for-Duty assessment, and pre-employment drug testing. Employment cannot commence until the employee has been cleared.
This position may require an employee to work nights and weekends depending on the assignment.
