Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial technology company, is seeking an experienced Sr. Platform Engineer for a hybrid opportunity in Orlando, FL!
This role supports critical technology platforms tied to cruise operations, so the work is highly visible, fast-paced, and truly impactful. The right candidate will serve as a technical escalation point across business teams, infrastructure partners, and vendors to troubleshoot issues, identify root cause, and improve long-term platform reliability.

Experience of the right candidate:
- 5 years of advanced troubleshooting experience in platform engineering, application support, operations, SRE, DevOps, or a similar role
- Strong experience owning complex production issues and driving root-cause resolution
- Hands-on database experience, including SQL query writing, data analysis, and troubleshooting
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Windows Server
- Understanding of networking, firewalls, data flow, and connectivity troubleshooting
- Experience supporting vendor-based applications or business-critical software platforms
- Experience working with vendors, infrastructure teams, server teams, and business stakeholders
- Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management processes
- Ability to support a low-volume 24/7 on-call rotation for critical systems
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
- Serve as the technical point of contact for vendors, infrastructure teams, and business partners
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across applications, databases, Windows Server, networking, firewalls, and connectivity
- Use SQL queries and data analysis to investigate issues and support root-cause analysis
- Support business-critical vendor applications and software platforms
- Maintain platform stability, reliability, and performance through day-to-day operational support
- Support upgrades, releases, roadmap initiatives, infrastructure projects, and automation efforts
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management
- Maintain runbooks, documentation, and knowledge articles
- Coordinate across technical and business teams to drive issues to resolution
- Bring urgency, ownership, and a solutions-first mindset to critical platform support
Nice to have experience:
- Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- AWS EC2 experience
- ServiceNow experience
- CI/CD, deployment tooling, scripting, or automation experience
- Experience in highly visible, regulated, or operationally complex environments
- Cruise, logistics, marine operations, medical systems, or risk management industry experience
