Director / VP, Business Transformation & Technology Strategy

Role Overview:
Optomi, in partnership with a rapidly growing engineering and consulting organization, is seeking a Director or VP-level leader to drive business transformation, operational scalability, and technology strategy across the enterprise. This is not a hands-on technical leadership role. We are looking for a strategic operator who understands how to leverage technology to improve business outcomes, standardize processes, support acquisitions, and create a scalable operating model for future growth.
The ideal candidate will serve as a business partner to executive leadership, helping identify opportunities to make the organization faster, more efficient, and more competitive through process optimization, digital transformation, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise-wide business transformation initiatives focused on scalability, efficiency, and grow.
- Develop and implement standardized business processes across multiple offices, business units, and acquired organizations.
- Drive post-acquisition integration efforts, ensuring consistency in workflows, documentation, systems, and service delivery.
- Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities where technology can improve operational performance and create competitive advantages.
- Establish governance and standards for project documentation, data management, and operational processes.
- Support the organization's transition toward fully digital workflows from field data collection through analysis, reporting, and client delivery.
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions that improve employee productivity, operational visibility, safety compliance, and client experience.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to understand field workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and modernization.
- Help build a scalable technology and operational roadmap capable of supporting growth from several hundred employees to more than 1,000 employees.

Required Qualifications:
- Experience leading business transformation, operational excellence, process improvement, or digital modernization initiatives.
- Proven success implementing scalable processes and operating models within growing organizations.
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or post-acquisition integration effo
- Strong understanding of how technology can improve business performance, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive organizational change.
- Experience working cross-functionally with operations, finance, HR, and business leadership teams.
- Ability to translate business challenges into practical process and technology solutions.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly between office locations and engage directly with operational teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within engineering, construction, environmental consulting, infrastructure, professional services, or related industries.
- Director, Senior Director, VP, or equivalent leadership experience.
- Experience scaling organizations through periods of rapid growth and acquisition.
- Exposure to document management, enterprise content management, workflow automation, or digital field operations initiatives.
- Experience implementing or optimizing HRIS, ERP, CRM, or enterprise business platforms.
- Background in Lean, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Change Management methodologies.
Salary : $125,000 - $150,000
