Optomi in partnership with a leader in the automotive industry is looking for a Agile Delivery Lead to join their team!
Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:
- Support multiple product/engineering teams in the adoption and effective implementation of Agile principles and practices, seamlessly integrating Agile, Lean, and DevOps into team routines and deliverables with input from all stakeholders.
- Facilitate multi-team workshops, such as quarterly planning, to support quality delivery and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Identify and resolve dependencies or obstacles; like technical issues, process delays, or resource shortages with the team early, while promoting solutions at the department level.
- Collaborates with product leaders to develop team estimates, realistic roadmaps, and delivery plans, and oversees progress reporting, risk management, and issue resolution across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Use data on risks, issues, dependencies, and obstacles to drive ongoing process improvements for teams. Encourage transparency by displaying these metrics and progress trends, enabling teams to optimize their workflows and results.
- Encourage transparency and information-sharing so the team can use their skills and technology to perform well within the department's business model.
- Facilitate and promote collaboration and communication between product/engineering team and stakeholders.
- Leverage agile experience and product knowledge to help teams select appropriate tools and frameworks for optimal delivery, manage Agile artifacts like sprints and backlogs, and support backlog maintenance.
- Use experience with multiple estimation techniques combined with knowledge of a team's product and technology to help the team break down work into manageable tasks, estimate effort, and track progress.
- Effectively utilize CI/CD principles to drive measurable improvements in team metrics, including change lead time, mean time to restore (MTTR), defect rate, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Apply various estimation methods and product knowledge to help teams break down work, estimate effort, and monitor progress. Use CI/CD practices to improve key team metrics like lead time, MTTR, and defect rate.
- May serve as a representative of the product or engineering team to senior stakeholders external to the department, effectively communicating the team's progress and challenges while soliciting feedback for ongoing improvement.
Required Qualifications of the Right Candidate:
- 5 years of experience working in an Agile Delivery Lead or similar role
- Demonstrates expertise in Agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean), technical practices, and the software development lifecycle, effectively solving complex problems and delivering tailored solutions that align with a team's unique requirements.
- Proficiency in using appropriate tooling to create visuals, dashboards, and reports that foster transparency of product health, impediments, and delivery across teams
- Strong grasp of product management principles and can leverage this expertise to support the product owner in developing a cohesive product strategy across the department, including development of any visuals to support product health, dependency management, and delivery progress
- Data analytics expertise to collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive informed product decisions
- Possesses in-depth product and technology domain knowledge to proactively challenge the team's risk management strategies during work identification and refinement with ability to guide teams in identifying and mitigating upstream and downstream dependencies, fostering a culture of proactive risk management
- Exhibits a deep understanding of how addressing technical debt can minimize failure risk, lower development costs, enhance product quality, and boost agility, enabling organizations to swiftly adapt to market shifts and customer demands
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of technical tools and practices employed across multiple teams to enhance quality, reduce development costs, and accelerate delivery to customers
- Experience effectively encouraging teams to adopt continuous improvement based on real-time observations. (e.g., Version control systems (E.g., Git), CI/CD tools, branching options, test-driven development, etc.)
