We are currently seeking a Patient Billing Specialist to join our team and support the financial experience of our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing processes, insurance claim submissions, patient account resolution, and a commitment to delivering professional, accurate, and compassionate service in a fast-paced environment.

Patient Billing Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains excellent customer service skills
- Maintains basic knowledge of medical billing terminology
- Ability to verify patients' demographics & insurance information
- Ability to interpret & explain an EOB
- Ability to explain the difference between a copay, coinsurance, and deductible
- Collaborate with patients to set up payment arrangements
- Prepare invoices and record payments
- Collect patient payment information
- Send receipts and/or itemized bills to appropriate party
- Other administrative support duties as assigned
- At least 1 year of experience in medical billing.
- At least 1 year of experience working with EMR and ECW preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Excellent communication, computer skills, and ability to pay attention to detail.
- Positive attitude that welcomes teamwork.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Experience with medical billing codes and terminology.
