The Assembly & Trim Technician will perform a variety of hands-on manufacturing tasks involving the trimming, sanding, bonding, assembly, and finishing of composite parts and assemblies. What You’ll Do
- Perform composite assembly and trim operations, including trimming, sanding, bonding, joining, and final assembly
- Read and follow travelers, SOPs, drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Maintain quality standards and follow established manufacturing procedures
- Accurately document labor, materials, and process information
- Prepare tools, materials, and equipment for production
- Perform material handling and equipment setup as needed
- Identify and communicate technical issues, defects, and production concerns to supervisors or engineering
- Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet production schedules
- Support continuous improvement and process development initiatives
- Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD-free work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or composite experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to read and follow travelers, work instructions, work orders, and engineering specifications
- Ability to safely use a variety of hand tools
- Ability to identify and select materials and supplies according to specifications
- Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
- Ability to listen, ask questions, and seek clarification when needed
- Dependable and able to follow direction
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to wear required PPE
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. with assistance
- Strong attention to detail
- Mechanical aptitude
