WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As a Credit Analyst, you'll evaluate commercial credit applications, analyze financial information, and make informed credit recommendations that balance customer service with financial risk. You'll work closely with customers, sales representatives, and accounting staff to ensure accurate credit management and timely account maintenance.
DUTIES:
- Review and analyze commercial credit applications and supporting financial documentation
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness and establish appropriate credit limits
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, trade references, and payment histories
- Monitor existing customer accounts for credit risk and payment trends
- Communicate with customers regarding credit information and account inquiries
- Work closely with the sales team to support customer relationships while protecting company assets
- Recommend credit approvals, adjustments, holds, or account modifications as needed
- Maintain accurate customer credit files and documentation
- Assist with collections and resolution of delinquent accounts when necessary
- Prepare reports and assist management with credit portfolio analysis
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies and industry best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Or 2 years of commercial credit analysis, accounts receivable, or related financial experience
- Experience in construction, building materials, wholesale distribution, or a similar industry preferred
- Strong understanding of financial statements and credit risk analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, along with ERP or accounting software
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
