Duties
- Operate commercial-grade dryers, washers, tunnel dryers, conveyor dryers, and garment care machines safely and efficiently.
- Perform laundry washing using appropriate settings for different fabric types, including bleach washing, cold water stain removal, hot water stain removal, and baking soda stain removal techniques.
- Conduct mechanical stain removal and fabric care treatments to restore garments to pristine condition.
- Label garments accurately for proper identification and sorting.
- Manage laundry ironing, pressing machines, and laundry folding machines to ensure garments are neatly pressed and folded according to standards.
- Utilize laundry steam cleaning equipment for deep cleaning tasks.
- Maintain an organized workspace by tracking inventory levels, restocking supplies, and ensuring cleanliness throughout the area.
- Push carts and operate tunnel washer and stackable dryer systems to handle high-volume laundry loads efficiently.
- Follow machine operation safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or damage.
- Assist with laundry sorting, barrier washer operation, and cleaning tasks as needed.
- Support customer service efforts by assisting with cashiering duties when required and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
Qualifications
- Prior experience operating commercial laundry equipment such as dryers, washers, pressing machines, or tunnel systems is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of fabric care techniques including stain removal (mechanical, baking soda-based, hot/cold water methods) is advantageous.
- Ability to operate safety-conscious machinery such as barrier washers and conveyor dryers effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
- Excellent attention to detail when labeling garments and tracking inventory levels.
- Good physical stamina for standing long periods, pushing carts, lifting heavy loads, and performing repetitive tasks.
- Customer service skills are a plus for assisting clients or supporting team members in a fast-paced environment.
