Title: SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT GROUP SUPERVISOR

General Statement of Function:

The Supported Employment Group Program Supervisor (SE Group Supervisor) provides leadership, coordination, and daily oversight of Job Coaches delivering Supported Employment Group services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role ensures safe, effective, and person-centered service delivery by managing staffing and schedules, addressing challenges in real time, and supporting staff through coaching, mentoring, and performance oversight. The SE Group Supervisor monitors service quality and documentation to ensure alignment with program goals, while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations, work contracts, and partner agency requirements. Additionally, the SE Group Supervisor reviews and verifies participant payroll documentation, participant and staff training completion, and the integrity of program records, promoting accountability, consistency, and successful employment outcomes.

Essential Functions:

Staff Supervision and Support

  • Supervise and support a team of Job Coaches delivering S E Group services funded by Regional Center
  • Provide daily guidance, coaching, and mentoring to Group Job Coaches to ensure the consistent delivery of high quality person-centered employment supports.
  • Conduct regular staff check-ins, field observations, and individualized support sessions to enhance service quality, reinforce best practices, and support ongoing professional development.
  • Ensure effective onboarding and ongoing training for new and existing Group Job Coaches, including systems such as Case Magic, Microsoft Teams, When I Work, and ADP, with follow-up as needed.
  • Ensure effective onboarding and ongoing training for both new and existing participants in S E- Group services, promoting skill development, engagement, and successful workplace integration.
  • Review, approve, and ensure accuracy and compliance of Group Job Coach documentation, including service notes, schedules, and adherence to safety protocols and program requirements.
  • Monitor and manage staff performance by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), attendance, and punctuality; conduct performance appraisals, provide regular feedback, and implement corrective action or disciplinary measures in accordance with company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accountability and consistent, high-quality service delivery.

Scheduling, Logistics, and Safety

  • Coordinate and adjust staff schedules to address participant needs, staff absences, and emergent situations, including partnering with Case Management to arrange substitute coverage to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
  • Respond to logistical issues and field challenges during shift in real-time to ensure continuity of services and ensure consistent, high-quality support across all settings.
  • Monitor and enforce safety practices, provide immediate response and support for incidents, and document and report concerns according to in accordance with Oparc protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Employment Services Administrative Assistant, to ensure the timely, accurate, and complete submission of S E Group participant work activity records and timesheets.

Service Quality and Participant Goal Support

  • Monitor service delivery to ensure it aligns with individual service plans, person-centered goals, and funding source expectations.
  • Support staff in individualizing services to effectively meet each participant’s unique needs, preferences, strengths, and employment goals by providing guidance on person-centered practices, adapting supports and strategies, and ensuring services remain responsive to changing needs and workplace expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Employment Services Program Manager and Case Management team to promote goal achievement and high-quality employment outcomes.
  • Ensure a signed work description is on file for each participant placed in a S E Group, and verify that all identified accommodations have been reviewed, approved, and effectively implemented prior to and throughout participation in the work setting.

Communication and Documentation

  • Ensure timely and professional communication with staff, participants, employers, worksites, and funding agency contacts as needed.
  • Collect and review service documentation to ensure accuracy, completion, and alignment with funding agency requirements.
  • Participate in participant meetings (e.g., IDTs, IEPs) as needed to represent employment services and Group Job Coach supports.
  • Conduct monthly facility, vehicle, and case note audits to ensure compliance with program standards, safety requirements, and documentation expectations; identify discrepancies or missing documentation, follow up with staff to ensure timely completion and accuracy, and provide guidance and corrective support to strengthen accountability and overall service quality.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Host staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities for all Group Job Coaches in collaboration with the Individual Placement Supervisor and Employment Services Program Manager.
  • Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Employment Services Program Manager.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Regional Center and Oparc policies and procedures, and model adherence to these standards through consistent, ethical, and professional practices, reinforcing expectations for staff and ensuring compliance in all aspects.
  • Adhere to the proper care and responsible use of Oparc issued property, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Oparc and CARF accreditation standards by maintaining audit-ready documentation, monitoring service delivery practices, and participating in internal and external reviews, including CARF surveys and Regional Center audits.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement by tracking program outcomes, implementing corrective action plans, training and supporting staff on CARF-aligned practices, and ensuring services reflect person-centered principles, community integration, and meaningful employment opportunities.
  • Help ensure maintenance of SE Group contracts and relationships with community worksites by conducting site visits and addressing site needs, and ensuring clear communication; monitor contract requirements and report any changes in services, staffing, or participant status to DDS and other applicable agencies in a timely manner, while ensuring all required documentation, such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and site-specific compliance materials, is current, accessible, and accurately maintained at each worksite.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Social Services or a related field with a minimum of two years of experience working with adults with disabilities.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a lead or supervisory role overseeing staff with demonstrated experience in staff supervision, scheduling, performance management, and team leadership within vocational, employment, or human services settings.
  • Knowledge of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and Regional Center service models.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt to changing program needs. Exhibits sound critical thinking and decision-making skills to assess situations, resolve challenges effectively, and implement practical solutions, while maintaining flexibility and professionalism in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Teams, and Canva, with the ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize service documentation and data management systems.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License with a clean driving record; CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
  • Physical capacity to perform all essential job functions in both office and community-based settings, including the ability to model and perform the full range of duties completed by Group Job Coaches and working participants. This includes lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, pulling, standing for extended periods, and maintaining stamina in various environmental conditions (indoors and outdoors), while safely demonstrating proper techniques and supporting staff and participant needs.

Location: Oparc- Montclair, California

Reports To: Employment Services Program Manager

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, including a 30-minute unpaid meal break and two 10-minute paid rest breaks. Flexibility required to meet participant and program needs.
