KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
- Ability to develop and maintain harmonious and productive working relationships
- Ability to represent the school system in a positive fashion to a variety of audiences
- Current technology skills
- Ability to collect and analyze data in an organized fashion
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- Current Onslow County Schools 10 month employee preferred
- Minimum three years of successful working experience in education; experience in Onslow County Schools preferred
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 6 to 7 weeks (40 hours per week)
SALARY: Pay Grade 55 to 59
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy yet productive and smoothly-run office.
- Utilize a variety of appropriate computer software programs to create documents.
- Fingerprint new employees or volunteers.
- Create employee identification badges.
- Assist with processing of new employees.
- File all human resources documents in employee personnel files.
- Provide support for the multi-line switchboard when needed.
- Assist with new employee orientation
- Handle sensitive student and personnel information with discretion and maintain confidentiality in accordance with district and legal standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms routinely.
- Ability to bend, stoop, carry, push, or pull.
- Ability to carry furniture such as tables and chairs, supplies and materials
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds routinely and 30 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to visually and orally communicate with staff.
