We’re partnering with a leading multidisciplinary engineering firm to identify a Civil Graduate Engineer for their growing Public Infrastructure team in Houston. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, transportation design, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
What You’ll Do
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for stormwater runoff, storm sewer systems, and open channel design
- Develop drainage layouts, profiles, and cross-sections using OpenRoads Designer
- Support transportation and TxDOT design efforts for roadway and infrastructure projects
- Assist in preparing plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Compile and submit documentation for local, state, and federal agencies (e.g., DOT, FEMA, USACE) to ensure regulatory compliance
- Contribute to technical reports, drainage impact studies, and stormwater management reports
- Collaborate with roadway and multidisciplinary teams to integrate drainage systems with infrastructure elements such as bridges, culverts, and detention systems
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 1–4 years of experience in roadway and/or drainage engineering
- EIT certification with a clear path toward PE licensure within 2–3 years
- Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8, XPSTORM/XPSWMM, and ArcGIS Pro
- Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer (ProjectWise is a plus)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related tools (Excel, Word, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
