Core Responsibilities
- Support the underwriting of new private credit transactions, including senior secured loans and select factoring opportunities
- Develop and maintain robust financial models incorporating cash flow forecasts, leverage and coverage metrics, downside scenarios, and return analysis
- Draft detailed investment memoranda and present analyses and recommendations to the Investment Committee
- Conduct in-depth assessments of borrower business models, industry trends, competitive landscapes, and management quality
- Review and analyze capital structures, credit documentation, covenant frameworks, collateral packages, and key legal terms
- Assist with transaction execution, coordinating with legal advisors, sponsors, and third-party consultants
- Oversee ongoing portfolio monitoring through periodic financial reviews, covenant testing, amendment analysis, and performance tracking
- Identify emerging credit concerns and proactively evaluate risk mitigation or remediation strategies
- Monitor private credit market conditions, pricing trends, and relevant comparable transactions
- Contribute to portfolio-level risk management, asset allocation considerations, and continuous process enhancements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline (required)
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- CFA designation or progress toward completion is a plus
- At least 5 years of applicable experience in private credit or closely related credit-oriented roles, such as:
- Direct lending or private credit funds
- Credit platforms within private equity firms
- Leveraged finance or credit teams at investment banks
- Commercial or corporate banking underwriting groups
- Proven background underwriting and managing middle-market private credit investments
- Extensive hands-on experience with financial modeling, including cash flow analysis and stress scenarios
- Working knowledge of private credit legal documentation and structures
- Strong foundation in credit analysis, risk evaluation, and complex capital structures
- Advanced financial statement analysis and modeling proficiency
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, including presentation to investment committees
- Ability to operate independently while working collaboratively with senior investment professionals
- High level of attention to detail, sound judgment, and a disciplined approach to risk
