Our client, a leading insurance organization, is seeking a Manager, Investment Accounting to lead its investment accounting function. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing investment accounting and reporting, driving process improvements, and partnering with senior finance executives to support strategic business initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting and financial reporting for complex investment portfolios.
• Ensure timely and accurate statutory and US GAAP reporting.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accounting requirements.
• Partner with Finance, Treasury, Investments, and executive leadership on key business initiatives.
• Analyze investment performance, identify risks, and implement process improvements.
• Lead accounting policy implementation, systems enhancements, and operational transformation projects.
• Mentor and develop staff while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 8 years of investment accounting experience within insurance or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of statutory accounting (SAP) and US GAAP.
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing accounting teams.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with investment accounting platforms and financial reporting systems.
