CDL Materials Delivery Driver

This position is responsible for the loading, delivery, and unloading of fabricated materials on jobsites.

This position reports to the Fabrication Manager.

Principle Accountabilities

• Load and secure all items for accurate site delivery of material and tools ensuring that all items are loaded (including blueprints) allowing for a safe trip to the jobsite and a complete delivery.
• Ensure that jobsite delivery arrives on time by working with Delivery Lead and/or Fabrication Manager to plan best route to jobsite.
• Ensure delivery to proper location at jobsite by obtaining proper information from Fabrication Manger or job superintendent.
• Participate in the unloading of materials and tools as directed by the Field Construction Foreman to assure efficient and safe operations.
• Ensure that the trucks are maintained in a safe operational condition, adhering to all applicable trucking regulations, laws, and rules of safe driving.
• Ensure that the truck is kept clean and is properly maintained following all factory specifications.
• Maintain a current Pennsylvania’s Driver’s License, as well as a safe driving record, in order to be eligible to drive a company vehicle.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical in order to maintain a current Driver Med Card.
• Maintain a positive appearance in order to properly represent Oliver Fire Protection & Security when making deliveries to jobsites.
• In case of an accident, follow all established SOPs, including summon police and gather all pertinent information, including witnesses, in order to properly file an accident report in a timely manner.
• Clean out jobs completely by ensuring that all materials and tools are removed from jobsite and brought back to fabrication plant. Follow all established SOPs to document tools and materials returned from job sites.
• SPECIAL ACTIVITIES
• Review own performance with the Fabrication Manager annually to identify and determine individual employee’s strengths and weaknesses so the proper developmental actions can be taken by both the employee and the organization.

• Complete other tasks as assigned including assisting with fabrication when not driving, as directed by Fabrication Manager, to always be utilizing oneself productively.
