What You’ll Do as an Insurance Services Specialist
As our next Insurance Services Specialist, you will:
- Research, analyze, interpret, and draft commercial insurance policy provisions
- Review statutes, regulations, and bulletins; proactively initiate updates to maintain compliance
- Monitor updates from regulatory and industry organizations and implement required changes
- Track revisions impacting Commercial Auto, General Liability, Excess Liability, Umbrella, and Inland Marine lines
- Evaluate changes for impact to internal programs and support related filings, system updates, and documentation
- Monitor Workers’ Compensation rate, rule, and form developments affecting excess programs
- Provide technical guidance to ensure internal systems align with filed rates, rules, and forms
- Support updates related to Uninsured/Underinsured Motorists coverage and related documentation
- Interpret changes related to state auto ID cards, motor carrier requirements, and industry forms
- Maintain state assessments, surcharges, and tax-related materials and communicate updates to stakeholders
The ideal Insurance Services Specialist will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Risk & Insurance, Business Administration, or related field
- 8 years of commercial lines casualty experience (underwriting, product support, or regulatory)
- Strong understanding of rate, rule, and form requirements
- Ability to independently research and interpret regulatory developments
- Experience supporting stakeholders on compliance-related updates and adjustments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and MS Office products
- Strong systems aptitude and technical confidence
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- CPCU designation preferred, but not required
