Network Engineer – Brookfield, WI (Hybrid Opportunity)

This Network Engineer role is based at our Home Office in Brookfield, WI, with a hybrid schedule of two remote days per week once fully trained. As a Network Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the backbone of our enterprise technology environment.
What You’ll Do
As a Network Engineer, you will design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. This Network Engineer position focuses heavily on firewalls, routers, switches, Juniper technologies, and SD-WAN solutions, while also contributing to Microsoft Azure networking. You’ll take ownership of Tier 2–3 incidents, ensuring performance, reliability, and security across the organization.
In this Network Engineer role, you will deploy and troubleshoot network infrastructure, configure routing and switching protocols such as BGP and OSPF, and enforce strong security policies. You’ll manage WAN and SD-WAN connectivity, support secure access solutions like VPNs and Zscaler, and monitor network performance to proactively resolve issues. The Network Engineer will also support hybrid cloud integration, working with Azure services to ensure seamless connectivity. Collaboration is key, and this Network Engineer will work closely with vendors and internal teams while contributing to automation, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
To succeed as a Network Engineer, you bring strong technical expertise and a proactive mindset. You have experience designing and supporting enterprise network environments and are comfortable working across both on-premises and hybrid infrastructures. A bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience is preferred, though equivalent technical training and 8 years of hands-on experience will also be considered.
The ideal Network Engineer has deep knowledge of firewalls, routing and switching, and network security, along with experience in SD-WAN and hybrid cloud networking. Familiarity with automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI is a plus. As a Network Engineer, you are detail-oriented, collaborative, and capable of managing complex implementations with minimal supervision.
