Duties
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be at the center of ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations across multiple entities. This Payroll Specialist role involves reviewing and validating employee timecards, supporting time and attendance systems, and resolving PTO and timekeeping discrepancies to maintain data accuracy. The Payroll Specialist will support bi-weekly payroll processes, including audits, reconciliations, and compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
In this Payroll Specialist position, you’ll also oversee benefit billing, maintain vendor relationships, and resolve discrepancies while ensuring timely payments. The Payroll Specialist will generate and analyze payroll and benefits reports, providing insights that drive informed decisions and uphold data integrity. Additionally, the Payroll Specialist will support employee lifecycle processes, from onboarding payroll setup to offboarding and final pay calculations.
Serving as a trusted resource, the Payroll Specialist will handle employment verifications, maintain confidential employee records, and assist with benefit-related processes such as eligibility reviews and qualifying life events. This Payroll Specialist role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and enjoys solving complex payroll challenges.
Experience
To succeed as a Payroll Specialist, you should bring an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business, or a related field, along with at least two years of payroll experience. Multi-state payroll experience is highly valued for this Payroll Specialist opportunity. The ideal Payroll Specialist will have hands-on experience with payroll systems and timekeeping platforms, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
