We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 1st Shift Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor a variety of food product manufacturing machines.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain continuous production flow.
- Maintain safety standards by following proper procedures, wearing protective gear, and ensuring equipment safety features are functional.
- Assist with materials handling, packaging finished products, and maintaining a clean work environment in compliance with food manufacturing protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance cheese product quality through continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience
- Proven experience operating food manufacturing machines in a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CAM programming, and CNC programming is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with shop tools including hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of food and manufacturing safety standards in production environments and industrial equipment troubleshooting skills.
- Prior manufacturing facility experience emphasizing materials handling, assembly, or packaging is a plus.
