Job Summary:
The student will accompany various events, including student recitals, ensembles, studio classes, lessons, rehearsals, end-of-semester exams, auditions, and competitions.
Principal Responsibilities
- Prepare repertoire for rehearsal and performance, covering a wide range of literature
- Develop a rehearsal and performance schedule with students/faculty/guest artists
- Perform as a collaborative artist/accompanist as needed
- Follow department policies and procedures
- Come to work as scheduled by supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- Ability to sight-read medium difficult to difficult accompaniments
- Ability to play advanced, difficult and complex literature with technical facility, stylistic understanding and artistry
- Knowledge of standard vocal and instrumental repertory
- Ability to perform at a professional level
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled as an ONU student
- Good academic standing
- Music major, minor or ensemble member preferred
