In this role, you will be creating, curating, and publishing content across our social media platforms. This role is ideal for someone passionate about music, with a flair for creativity, communication, and digital engagement. The assistant will help execute social media strategy by supporting daily content creation, engagement, and platform management. This individual will play a key role in expanding our reach, ensuring brand consistency, and fostering online dialogue that inspires and informs.
Principal Responsibilities
Social Media Content & Scheduling
- Assist in drafting, designing, and scheduling social media content (graphics, captions, videos)
- Help maintain the monthly social media calendar
- Support the creation and formatting of Instagram Stories, Reels, and TikToks
- Assist in assigning and collecting internal content (e.g., video clips, quotes, team takeovers)
Platform Management & Engagement
- Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions; respond as needed
- Help flag or escalate critical comments or PR concerns
Media Support
- Attend occasional music events to capture content for social media (photos, videos, behind-the-scenes)
- Help organize and archive social media assets (photos, footage, graphic templates)
General Duties
- Follow department policies and procedures
- Come to work as scheduled by supervisor
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled as an ONU student
- Good academic standing
- Music major, minor or ensemble member preferred
