In This Position You Will
- Plans, designs & manages a comprehensive statewide Emergency Medical Services (EMS) division according to established laws, rules & standards
- Develops budget & plans for adequate personnel, facilities, equipment & supplies to ensure efficient operation of division
- Develops & implements policies & procedures to ensure certification of all Emergency Medical Technicians, Firefighters, Fire Safety Inspectors & Instructors
- Oversees the accreditation of training of Emergency Medical Technicians, Firefighters, Fire Safety Inspectors & Instructors through delegation of duties & responsibilities to staff
- Serves as Chief Executive Officer of the State Board of EMFTS
- Attends State Board of Emergency Medical, Fire, & Transportation Services (EMFTS) meetings
- Testifies in legislative hearings on proposed legislation which could affect both division & departmental programs
