Scope of Position
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Clinical Operations, the Supervisor, Center for Emergency Medical Services supports the identification and development of annual strategic goals and objectives and management of senior outreach coordinators to ensure development of the team, removal of barriers, and completion of administrative responsibilities within the department. The Supervisor participates in the development of clinical/operational strategy and is accountable for directing operations of business units they support. The Supervisor manages and coordinates multiple activities, including statistical, performance and managerial reporting, decision and budget support and quality, outreach, and research improvement initiatives. The Supervisor will be the main point of contact for internal and external needs that may arise for the department.

The Center for Emergency Medical Services (CEMS) at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center serves as an expert resource for all prehospital activity by conducting targeted outreach, providing expansive and comprehensive education, and finding innovative ways to improve quality in partnership with our emergency department, time critical disease clinical teams and local EMS. The Center for EMS supports the medical center in being the preferred
partner of EMS providers throughout Ohio for Patient Care, Education and Research by creating long term collaborative relationships that improve people’s lives and are mutually beneficial to OSUMC and our EMS partners.
The Supervisor, Center for Emergency Medical Services, is a strategic leader responsible for optimizing day-to-day operations involving EMS arrivals across the health system. This role supports the overseeing of the Center for Emergency Medical Services (EMS), ensuring seamless coordination of outreach initiatives, quality of care, and educational development. In addition to driving process improvements and operational excellence, the Supervisor provides direct oversight of the senior outreach coordinators, fostering a high-performing team and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role is instrumental in establishing and maintaining standardized processes, workflows, and best practices. By ensuring consistency in bi-directional sharing of information, executing market-driven outreach, and targeted education promoting continuity of care, the Supervisory enhances efficiency, accountability, and collaboration across teams.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Health Education, Nursing, Healthcare, Health Services Administration, Business Administration or a related field. RN & or Paramedic Certification preferred.
- 3 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience in pre-hospital environment and people management experience preferred.
