Summary/Objective
The Assembly Technician II is responsible for assembling and preparing vital parts and systems for our industry-leading process heaters and fired equipment. The Assembly Technician II must operate with precision and attention to detail to ensure each product is assembled correctly before moving to final testing, helping us maintain the quality and reliability for which OGI is known.

Essential Functions

• Assemble components based on detailed P&ID drawings and blueprints.
• Perform instrumentation and tubing fitting with precision and care.
• Cut, thread, and assemble piping for industrial equipment.
• Measure with a high degree of accuracy, down to 1/16 of an inch.
• Complete tasks with minimal supervision according to production schedules.
• Have a working knowledge of pipe fittings, valves, and switches used in industrial settings.
• Safely operate material handling equipment like forklifts and cranes.
• Ensure all assemblies meet the highest standards before moving to final testing.
• Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the team's success.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical skills with experience in instrumentation and tube fitting.
• Knowledge of industrial piping systems, including fittings and valves.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and material handling equipment.
• Safety-conscious with experience working in a fabrication or industrial setting.

OGI has determined this position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purpose of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act (“The Unity Bill.”) effective August 29th, 2019.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in instrumentation and tube fitting.

Supervisor Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
Non-temperature controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. This position requires walking, the ability to reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop. The employee occasionally will lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

No travel is required for this position.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 6 months to 1 year of instrumentation / tube fitting
• Possession of strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
