Summary/Objective
The Plant Manager directs and manages operations within the manufacturing facility to achieve customer service satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence, and overall goals of the company.
Essential Functions

- Supervise and manage foremen for adherence to operational and quality protocols.
- Work with engineering, quality, sales, HR, and accounting to manage and measure the performance of total plant operations.
- Analyze manufacturing operations to identify possible areas of cost reduction, savings, or increased efficiencies.
- Communicate with upper management on trends on plant performance, forecasts for future performances, and other issues.
- Develop processes for long term planning to ensure plant operation needs are met.
- Work with Fabrication and Assembly Foreman to ensure employees needs are met within company policy.
- Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
- Ensure safety policies are enforced stringently and set identifiable goals and objectives for staff.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Administer all aspects of employee management to include hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, performance reviews, pay increases, addressing complaints, resolving problems and disciplinary actions.
OGI has determined this position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purpose of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act (“The Unity Bill.”) effective August 29th, 2019.

Supervisor Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
Non-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, safety harness, full face grinding shield, welding hood and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. This position requires walking, the ability to reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop. The employee occasionally will lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional work hours and weekends may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Minimal travel is required for this position.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial management, business administration, or a related field, as well as anywhere from 4 to 8 years in a supervisory position in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar management position of a production/manufacturing facility.
- Ability to represent and act as company liaison to vendors, customers, and other parties as needed.
- Possession of strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
