Position: HPC Support Staff (Behavioral Support Focus – Strongsville Area)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM; 10 hours on Saturday and 10 hours on Sunday
Location: In-home and community-based services in the Strongsville, OH area

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable, engaging, and active HPC Support Staff to provide in-home and community-based supports to an individual with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will be someone who is proactive in encouraging participation in community activities and who can also offer structure and support within the home.

While the individual enjoys outings, they may also prefer spending time on electronic devices. The selected support staff will need to work collaboratively with the individual's team to identify and encourage enjoyable community-based activities. Reliable transportation is required, as frequent transport to and from activities is a key part of the role.

Candidates must be comfortable supporting individuals who may occasionally exhibit challenging behaviors, including property destruction or physical aggression (e.g., grabbing, hitting, headbutting). The preferred candidate will be male, physically capable of managing crisis situations safely, and have previous experience working with individuals with behavioral support needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting individuals with behavioral challenges
• Ability to remain calm and de-escalate during crisis situations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to transport the individual frequently within the community
• Physical ability to manage potential behavioral escalations safely
