Duties Description
Join the web team in the Communications Office of the Office of the New York State Comptroller to help write and manage content for the agency’s public-facing website, osc.ny.gov. Incumbent will create, edit and review web pages to ensure content meets agency’s editorial, accessibility and design standards; help build and edit page templates and web forms; perform QA testing on new features, bug fixes and system upgrades for the website; and assist in special projects that improve the customer experience for external or internal audiences.

Minimum Qualifications
To be appointed to this position, you must have:
- Six years of experience in public relations, social media, and digital communications
- Associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in communications, English, Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Communications, or similar degree, substitutes for two, four, or five years.
Preferred Qualifications/Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An understanding of digital technologies, web/UX design and accessibility
- Experience with website management and content management systems
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience with website analytics and SEO
