Leads daily dispatch operations and driver management to ensure efficient, safe, and profitable execution of customer shipments. Oversees load planning, customer communication, and driver performance while ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

This job operates predominately in an indoor office environment with some exposure to the warehouse environment with some exposure to noise, vibration, particles, fumes, and temperature variations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Leads daily dispatch operations and driver management to ensure efficient, safe, and profitable execution of customer shipments. Oversees load planning, customer communication, and driver performance while ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch & Load Management – Plan, schedule, and execute shipments; ensure timely pickup/delivery, route optimization, and cost-effective use of company and third-party capacity
- Customer & Service Management – Serve as primary point of contact for shipment updates and issue resolution; ensure service expectations are consistently met
- Driver Supervision & Performance – Manage Class A drivers including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and disciplinary actions
- Operational Execution & Compliance – Ensure accurate data entry, documentation, and adherence to DOT/FMCSA, safety, and company policies
- Problem Solving & Escalation – Resolve service disruptions, accidents, and operational issues; coordinate load/equipment recovery as needed
- Financial & Administrative Oversight – Support billing, payroll, and payables through accurate documentation and process adherence
- Growth & Utilization – Identify opportunities to maximize equipment usage, maintain driver productivity, and support revenue growth
- Systems & Reporting – Utilize dispatch, GPS, and HOS systems; maintain data integrity and track performance metrics
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with Safety, Maintenance, HR, and leadership to support operations, compliance, and driver retention
- On-Call & Team Support – Provide after-hours support and assist during peak periods or team absences
- 2–5 years of professional experience, preferably in transportation, logistics, or warehouse operations
- Prior experience managing drivers or employees in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make real-time decisions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with TMS or dispatch systems preferred

Work Expectations
- 45–50 hours per week on average
- ~15% travel (local/regional)
- Rotating on-call responsibility
