Landscape Installation Foreman

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage landscape installation crew(s), ensuring the team understands daily goals, project expectations, and proper installation techniques.
  Help create and implement efficient and organized scheduling for all assigned tasks, coordinating labor, equipment, and materials to meet project timelines.

• Direct, implement, and ensure consistent excellence and proper landscape installation practices on all job sites, maintaining Oceanview’s quality standards.

• Read, interpret, and execute construction drawings, including layout, measurements, elevations, grading, and material specifications.

• Oversee the full installation process, including planting, hardscape layout, sod installation, bed preparation, mulching, drainage installation, and other landscape construction tasks.

• Ensure proper use, handling, and installation of materials such as plant material, stone, pavers, edging, soil, and structural components.

• Operate and supervise the use of equipment such as mini-excavators, skid steers, loaders, compactors, and power tools safely and effectively.

• Communicate proactively with construction managers regarding progress, changes, delays, or site conditions that affect the project.

• Maintain site organization and cleanliness, ensuring safe and efficient work areas throughout the job.

• Train crew members on proper installation techniques, safety practices, equipment operation, and job flow.

• Identify opportunities to improve installation efficiency while maintaining quality and accuracy.

• Ensure daily documentation is completed, including time tracking, job notes, and material usage.

 Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum (5) years experience in landscape installation and crew-leading

• Extensive knowledge and experience with installing small to large-scale landscape jobs - Correct procedures and experience with site work, planting, transplanting, soil prep, etc.

• Clean, NYS driver's license

• The ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a high-energy environment

• Excellent communication skills - both oral and written

• Confidence, enthusiasm, respect, leadership, and a positive attitude

Salary : $26 - $35
