What are the responsibilities and job description for the LIFEGUARD position at OCEAN COUNTY YMCA INC?
Objective:
Maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas.
Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
Qualifications:Recommended:
• Oxygen Administration certification
Requirements:
• Minimum age of 15 (Age 16 preferred)
• Certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid certification.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding.
• Ability to maintain physical and mental readiness.
• Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with American Red Cross Certification Standards.
• Must be willing and able to maintain and clean the pool area.
• Requirements within 30 days of hire include: completion of: Child Sexual Abuse Prevention online course, Appropriate Touch online course
