If so, come volunteer at the Ocean County YMCA!  Be a part of one of the largest Non-profit Organizations in the world and make a difference in the lives of others.

With a mission to put Judeo Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all, our impact is felt when an individual makes a healthy choice, when a mentor inspires a child and when a community comes together for the common good.

Volunteers Help by:

• Leading our Board of Directors and committees
• Raising funds to ensure the Y is accessible to all members of the community
• Teaching many of our classes
• Motivating and supporting youth in building the character strengths, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health, smart life choices, and the pursuit of higher education and goals
• Extending a hand to help adults who want to do more, be more or live healthier
• Advocating for the Y’s efforts to influence policies and initiatives that positively impact societal issues of importance to the nation, and Ocean County
• Participating in opportunities to give back and support neighbors

Requirements:

- This is an unpaid, volunteer position.

- Must be at least 15 years old -parental permission required for all minors. 

- Be willing and able to follow all policies and procedures of the Ocean County YMCA

- Capable of working with a diverse population

- Have a desire to help out your community, those in need, and want to have fun!
