Operational Safety Oversight
- Conduct monthly site safety inspections.
- Monitor fleet and heavy equipment safety practices.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and environmental safety regulations.
- Address unsafe behaviors and conditions in real time.
Incident Investigation & Prevention
- Conduct formal incident investigations within the Recycling Division.
- Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans.
- Track injury trends and implement targeted prevention programs.
Fleet & DOT Support
- Coordinate with Corporate Safety Officer on DOT compliance.
- Monitor driver safety performance and compliance.
- Support DQ file documentation and vehicle safety programs.
Training & Coaching
- Deliver division-specific safety training.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Train supervisors on safety accountability.
Risk Mitigation
- Identify high-risk operational exposures.
- Develop job hazard analyses (JHAs).
- Recommend engineering or administrative controls.
Safety Culture Development
- Actively engage frontline staff in safety initiatives.
- Participate in Safety Committee initiatives.
- Promote proactive hazard reporting.
