What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landfill CDL Driver position at Occupational Training Center?
- Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment in accordance with Company policy. Safely and efficiently operate equipment that may include: roll off, tractor trailer, triaxle dump truck and other equipment using proper safety standards.
- Continuously monitor the condition of the equipment to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time; clean wheels or tracks on equipment, as needed.
- Perform and document minor service on equipment, referring more complicated mechanical issues to Management.
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure that equipment is clean, serviced and stored at the completion of each shift.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Drive onsite vehicles as needed
- Assist landfill operations and perform laborer duties at the landfill as needed
- The role will consist of about 40% driving (mostly on site) and 60% assisting landfill operations
- Willingly and effectively cooperates with OTC, The Department of Human Services, The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and other licensing or state agency or local municipalities in any inspections and investigations, upon request.
- Perform all directed tasks with minimal supervision
- Assist with training new personnel.
- Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm; Alternating Saturdays from 7:00am-1:00pm
