What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landfill CDL Driver/Convenience Center Attendant position at Occupational Training Center?
- Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment in accordance with Company policy to ensure windows, lights and mirrors are clean. Safely and efficiently operate equipment that may include: roll-off truck, dump truck, tractor-trailer, forklift, front-end loader and other equipment using proper safety standards.
- Continuously monitor the condition of the equipment to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time; clean tracks or wheels on equipment, as needed.
- Perform and document minor service on equipment, referring more complicated mechanical issues to management for repair.
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Drive onsite vehicles as needed.
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner.
- Monitor and assist customers dropping material off.
- Perform all directed tasks with minimal supervision.
- Performs cleanup tasks to keep work area clean and orderly.
- Inspect customers’ loads and direct them to the appropriate area to unload.
- Monitor customers as they are unloading to ensure that the material they are dropping off is not contaminated with unapproved material.
- Assist with training new personnel.
- Must be able to work occasional overtime including weekends. Schedule is M-F 9am-5pm with alternating Saturdays 7:00am-1:00pm.
