We are seeking a reliable and safety-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will manage day-to-day warehouse activities, handle inventory control, perform battery recovery, and assist customers directly with battery installations. The ideal candidate operates forklifts safely, handles material efficiently, and occasionally provides local delivery support to maintain strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Battery Recovery & Service: Safely recover used or recyclable batteries (car, golf cart, commercial) and perform basic battery installations for customers on-site.
- Warehouse & Logistics: Handle shipping and receiving operations, including loading and unloading transport vehicles and preparing orders for distribution.
- Inventory Control: Maintain precise inventory records, conduct regular stock counts, and keep warehouse inventory organized and accessible.
- Forklift & Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment to move, stage, and store heavy battery units.
- Customer & Delivery Support: Assist visiting customers professionally and provide occasional local delivery support to foster positive client relationships.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep work areas, tools, and storage spaces safe, clean, and fully compliant with safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Prior warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience required.
- Hands-on experience with battery installations or general automotive/equipment maintenance preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and heavy material handling equipment safely.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (for occasional delivery support).
- Ability to lift heavy objects (batteries/equipment) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
