Responsibilities:
The Soldier Team Staff Synchronization Officer (SSO) will provide expert-level support to the Force Development Directorate’s Soldier Division within HQDA DCS G-8. This key role supports Army equipment modernization and strategic planning efforts across portfolios including Soldier Protection, Lethality, Survivability, and Soldier Systems Integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform requirements development, validation, and prioritization in support of Army modernization.
- Analyze and support JCIDS documentation (ICD, CDD, A-CDD, etc.) and Operational Needs Statements (ONS).
- Develop investment and resourcing options for Army and Joint programs.
- Support PPBE and POM development, including SPAR briefings and program reviews.
- Coordinate with ASA(ALT), TRADOC, AFC, AMC, FORSCOM, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver briefings, EXSUMs, and information papers for senior Army leaders.
- Maintain situational awareness of assigned programs and provide rapid response analysis.
- Support equipment allocation planning and distribution coordination with ASC (LMI).
- Respond to RFIs and support Congressional testimony preparation.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years in Army Force Development or related duties.
- Clearance: Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.
- Operational Knowledge: Tactical/operational experience with Soldier Protection, Lethality, and Survivability systems.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-tempo environments.
- Experience briefing senior military and civilian leadership.
