Job description
Responsibilities for Staff Accountant
- Provide support to accounting department in the processing and review of financial transactions
- Assist in bank account reconciliations
- Assist in reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Assist in review of general ledger accounts to ensure proper coding of invoices and journal entries
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Post journal entries to record various transactions, such as weekly and monthly allocations, weekly payroll, sales commissions, credit card statements, etc
- Document any policies and procedures created
- Train to assist in all other aspects of the department such as Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- Assist in additional projects as assigned
Qualifications for Staff Accountant
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business preferred
- 3 years of recent and relevant general ledger accounting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently
- Strong attention to detail required
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Education:
- Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience:
- General ledger accounting: 3 years (Preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 3 years (Preferred)
