Staff Accountant

Overview:

Veronica Beard is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing team at the corporate office in New York, where you will play a vital role in supporting the accounting department. In this position, you will help maintain the accuracy and integrity of our financial records while contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Support the month-end closing by completing all necessary entries and accruals, including wholesale margin entries and sales reporting
• Manage employee corporate credit card expenses in SAP Concur and post expenses to the general ledger
• Review and post all shipping invoices, including FedEx, UPS, and DHL
• Conduct thorough reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to accounting standards
• Reconcile intercompany transactions to maintain accurate financial records across business units
• Assist in gathering support for audit activities
• Other ad hoc roles and projects as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 1 - 3 years of experience
• Microsoft Office proficient with advanced skills in Excel
• SAP Concur experience preferred but not required
• Detail oriented, strong organizational, and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, with systems integration exposure
• Ability to establish and maintain positive internal and external working relationships
• Entrepreneurial mindset and goal oriented (self-directed, proactive and able to define and execute projects independently)

The base salary for this role is between $70,000 and $80,000. The relevant base salary will vary depending on wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications. The base salary is just one component of our total compensation offerings, which consist of a comprehensive benefits package as well as a short-term incentive program, clothing allowance, and merchandise discounts.
