Location
Oklahoma City, OK (Relocation Required)
Position Purpose
The Senior Operations Director is the architect of our execution. You are responsible for transforming the President’s vision into scalable, repeatable systems that ensure 100% quality control in our delivery. This is a high-level leadership role focused on driving operational excellence, managing complex logistics, and fostering a culture of high accountability. You are a "leader of things, not a doer of things," focused on building the engine that powers the organization.
Core Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
- LMA (Leadership, Management, Accountability): Directly lead and mentor the operations department. You are responsible for the health, productivity, and professional growth of a team of 8 or more full-time staff.
- Systemization & Quality Control: Codify "how we do what we do." You will audit and refine existing workflows to ensure every promise made to our clients is delivered with precision and consistency.
- Strategic Resource Allocation: Oversee the master puzzle of logistics, including travel assignments, equipment staging, and personnel deployment. You are expected to find efficiencies that protect the bottom line.
- Financial Stewardship: Ownership of the operations budget, including expense approvals and accounts payable. You must possess the business acumen to reach and exceed "break-even" targets through smart cost-management.
- On-Site Command: Serve as the "Central Command" during tournament weekends, acting as the final escalation point for critical problem-solving and operational pivots.
- Strategy Implementation: Work in lockstep with the Executive Team to implement company-wide strategies, sharing insights and ideas that influence the future direction of the firm.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven Team Leadership: Must have multiple years of experience directly managing a team of 8 full-time employees. We are looking for a candidate who has successfully maintained long-term stability and high performance within a medium-to-large team structure.
- Logistical Expertise: Experience managing complex, multi-variable logistics (e.g., travel, equipment, and event-based scheduling). Familiarity with EventConnect or similar platforms is a plus.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to think at the 30,000-foot level while maintaining the systems that govern the ground-level details.
- Conflict & Problem Management: A "fixer" mentality. You remain calm under pressure and can solve high-stakes conflicts—both personnel and logistical—with speed and tact.
- Relocation: Must be located in or willing to relocate to Oklahoma City.
The Ideal Candidate
You are a "Leader of Leaders." You understand that your success is measured by the performance of your team and the efficiency of your systems. You are highly organized, comfortable with financial data, and possess the "command presence" needed to lead large-scale events and a significant workforce.
