The Content Manager is the creative engine of the NXTPRO and PRO16 brands, responsible for the strategy, development, and execution of all digital and social storytelling. This role leads our media staff and Oklahoma City-based studio to define how our league shows up on a national stage. We are seeking a creative leader who understands the modern basketball audience and can build scalable systems to elevate our brand across all platforms.
- Creative Leadership & Strategy: Shape the overall look, feel, and storytelling approach for the brand. Shape the creative standards for live events, digital platforms, and studio-based content to match evolving industry trends.
- Content Planning & Distribution: Build and manage a comprehensive content roadmap across social platforms and YouTube. Align output with league initiatives, key moments, and seasonal priorities to ensure a consistent brand voice.
- Staff Oversight & Development: Supervise and mentor a team of videographers, editors, designers, and contributors. Establish clear workflows, deadlines, and performance expectations while fostering a culture of accountability.
- Studio Operations: Direct the day-to-day operations of the in-house media studio. Plan and execute original content series, including interviews, features, and branded segments, turning the studio into a central engine for premium content.
- Digital Growth & Innovation: Expand the league’s presence on YouTube and emerging platforms through structured content series. Monitor performance metrics and stay ahead of trends in sports media and youth culture to drive engagement.
- Hands-On Production: Actively contribute to content creation, including graphic design, video editing, and concept development. Partner with marketing and leadership to ensure content aligns with overall business objectives.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in sports media, content strategy, video production, or a related field. Proven experience managing creative teams or media operations.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop) or comparable professional production tools.
- Platform Growth: Demonstrated success in growing digital platforms, with a specific emphasis on YouTube strategy and recurring digital formats.
- Basketball Knowledge: A deep understanding of the grassroots basketball landscape, youth culture, and the modern sports media consumer.
- Travel & Location: Based in (or willing to relocate immediately to) Oklahoma City. Ability to travel to league events as needed to oversee on-site content execution.
- Leadership: Experience building scalable systems for content production and publishing in a fast-paced environment.
- Marketing Integration: Experience partnering with brand sponsors (e.g., PUMA) to create high-impact branded content.
