Nutrition Management Services Company is seeking a hands-on, service-driven Working Dietary Supervisor to support dining operations within the health center of a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC).
This position is ideal for someone who leads by example, enjoys working alongside frontline staff, and takes pride in delivering excellent hospitality and resident service in a healthcare environment.
The Working Dietary Supervisor will assist in overseeing daily foodservice operations for skilled nursing, personal care, rehabilitation, and/or assisted living residents while actively participating in meal service, trayline, sanitation, and staff support.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support dietary staff during daily operations
- Work directly on the floor alongside team members during meal periods
- Assist with trayline, meal service, dining room support, and resident meal satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with sanitation, food safety, and infection control standards
- Monitor food quality, portioning, temperatures, and presentation
- Support staffing coordination and daily assignments
- Assist with onboarding and training of new employees
- Promote hospitality-focused service and positive resident interactions
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and community regulations
- Assist with inventory, ordering, and department organization as needed
- Support special events, catering, and holiday functions within the community
Qualifications
- Previous healthcare, senior living, or foodservice supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare dining environment
- Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude
- Knowledge of sanitation, food safety, and dietary operations
- Willingness to actively work scheduled shifts alongside staff
- ServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation dining operations is a plus
