Job Type: Fulltime Permanent Role/Direct Hire

Salary Range: $100K - $140K/annum plus benefits

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Controls Engineer to join a leading organization in the industrial equipment space. This role focuses on designing and implementing electrical and control systems for complex machinery, with strong emphasis on PLC programming and industrial automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support project teams in developing machine control concepts and technical solutions
• Contribute to technical proposals and project planning activities
• Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
• Monitor project scope, design progress, and technical objectives
• Create and review electrical design documentation and drawing packages
• Perform electrical design calculations and specify control hardware
• Develop PLC, motion control, and HMI programs based on project needs
• Interface electrical components and integrate automation systems
• Provide technical guidance and support to design and production teams
• Assist with system build, testing, installation, and commissioning
• Stay current with industry standards, technologies, and best practices
• Travel as required to support project execution

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5 years of experience in industrial controls / electrical engineering
• Strong experience with PLC programming, motion control and HMI systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar electrical design tools
• Familiarity with NEC, JIC and standard electrical codes/practices
• Solid understanding of industrial control hardware and fabrication processes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
• Exposure to full lifecycle project execution in industrial automation environments
