Value Stream Team Leader – Part 145 Repair Station

We are seeking an experienced Value Stream Team Leader to oversee day-to-day operations of a Part 145 FAA Repair Station. This role serves as the Accountable Manager and ensures compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Key Requirements
Must have Part 145 / 14 CFR Part 145 experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Aerospace aftermarket or repair experience preferred
Experience leading teams (5 direct reports: 1 scheduler, 4 technicians)
Role Overview
You will lead operations for the Repair Station, ensuring regulatory compliance, safe work practices, quality improvements, and strong customer support. This position partners with the Site Leader to drive Lean initiatives, reduce costs, improve flow, and support continuous improvement across all processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily Repair Station operations in alignment with FAA Part 145 requirements
- Oversee Repair Station manuals, training, rosters, and QMS documentation
- Serve as primary contact for FAA, EASA, CAAC, CAA, DOT audits
- Drive Lean/CI initiatives: 5S, PDCA, standardized work, pull systems, flow
- Lead production control, supply chain coordination, and multi-shift alignment
- Conduct team meetings, assign tasks, and maintain a positive, empowered culture
- Support cross-training and workforce development
- Maintain visual management tools and value stream metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technical or business discipline
- 4 years of related aerospace/operations experience
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and MRP
- Understanding of FAA regulations and Repair Station compliance
- Proven leadership, team-building, and communication skills
