Program Context
Lockheed Martin is supporting internal transformation across Finance & Business Operations analytics environments, focused on improving financial reporting accuracy, operational visibility, and process efficiency.
This role supports delivery teams working on:
- Structured financial reporting pipelines
- Data validation and reconciliation workflows
- Dashboard-driven decision support for finance and operations stakeholders
The position operates within a process-driven enterprise analytics environment, where data accuracy, traceability, and reporting consistency are critical.
Core Responsibilities
- Support analysis of financial and operational datasets used for reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking
- Assist in preparing structured datasets using SQL and data manipulation tools to support reporting workflows
- Build and maintain basic Tableau dashboards and reports, ensuring alignment with predefined business logic and metrics
- Perform data validation and reconciliation across multiple data sources, identifying discrepancies in financial reporting outputs
- Work with senior analysts to translate business requirements into reporting logic and measurable outputs
- Support documentation of data definitions, report logic, and business rules used within analytics workflows
- Assist in maintaining traceability between source data, transformations, and final reporting outputs
- Participate in reporting cycles to support monthly/quarterly financial reporting timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience (including internships or academic projects) involving:
- Data analysis or reporting
- Structured datasets
- Business or financial data interpretation
- Working knowledge of:
- SQL (basic querying, joins, filtering)
- Excel (data manipulation, formulas, reporting)
- Data visualization tools (Tableau preferred / Power BI acceptable)
- Ability to interpret structured datasets and translate business requirements into reporting outputs
- Understanding of working in process-driven environments where data accuracy and validation are required
Preferred
- Exposure to:
- Financial reporting or operational data
- Enterprise tools such as SAP, data warehouses, or reporting platforms
- Basic familiarity with:
- Data pipelines or ETL concepts
- Reporting dashboards used by business stakeholders
