Position Summary:
Notre Dame Academy seeks a full-time School Nurse to support student health and wellness for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is a 10-month, full-time, benefited position aligned with the school calendar.
The School Nurse plays a vital role in promoting the physical, emotional, and developmental well-being of students in grades 7–12. This position includes managing daily health needs, responding to student concerns, and partnering with families and faculty to ensure a safe and supportive school environment.
At Notre Dame Academy, all staff members contribute to the formation of young women of intellect, faith, and purpose. The School Nurse is an essential presence in supporting students as they grow and thrive.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direct care to students, including assessment, triage, and treatment of illness or injury
Administer medications and maintain accurate health records in compliance with state regulations
Develop and implement individualized health plans (IHPs) and emergency care plans
Serve as a resource for students experiencing physical or emotional health concerns
Communicate with families, faculty, and outside providers regarding student health needs
Ensure compliance with Massachusetts school health requirements, including immunizations and screenings
Maintain the health office and ensure readiness for emergencies
Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and leadership to support student well-being
Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
Contribute to a caring, responsive, and student-centered school culture
Participate in school meetings and events as appropriate
Uphold and model the mission and values of Notre Dame Academy
