Table Game Shift Manager

Job Overview

Implement and ensure compliance with approved policies and procedures while directing staff in accordance with corporate policies and objectives. Follow all operating procedures, safety regulations and NGG’s internal control policies.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for the efficient operation of all table games on a particular shift.

• Responsible for the training and equitable treatment of all casino staff.

• Promotes positive guest relations.

• Knowledge of all Washington State Gaming Laws and Regulations as well as NGG’s Internal Controls, policies and procedures.

• In the absence of the Assistant General Manager, responsible for the overall casino operations.

• Responsible for scheduling dealers, with approval of the AGM

• Minimum five years of experience in casino games and operations with progressive supervisory experience.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

• College degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum five years’ experience in casino games and operations with appropriate licensure and progressive supervisory experience.

SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Working knowledge of pull tab operations, knowledge of State of Washington Gambling regulations and rules.

• Create a fun atmosphere for all guests.

• Instills an atmosphere that encourages staff to share ideas, discuss concerns and resolve conflicts.

• Encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all staff by setting positive examples.

• Retains staff through involvement in training and development. Explains why we do things, in advance of doing them.

• Ability to read and comprehend all documentation.

• Ability to communicate effectively at all times, with all levels of employees and guests.

• Ability to interface effectively with the public and co-workers.

• Neat, professional appearance with good personal hygiene.

• Ability to speak, read and write English.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work in a fast-paced casino environment. Must be able to stand, walk or sit for long periods of time, speak and hear, write, finger and feel, lift and carry up to thirty pounds (30 lbs.) and occasionally more. Employee frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and endure variable temperature conditions (extreme hot or cold). Must be 21 years of age or older.

Pay: $32.00 - $39.00 per hour
