POSITION SUMMARY

The Table Game Floor Supervisor puts Washington State Gambling Commission regulation, NGG internal control policy, and safety rules into practice on the floor and holds the operation to them. The position trains, supervises, and watches the performance of staff so that gaming runs smoothly and efficiently across the shift.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Floor Supervision

  • Supervise the running of the gaming tables assigned to the position.
  • See that fills and credits are handled in keeping with regulation and policy.
  • Working with the shift manager, coordinate dealer schedules and confirm that each game carries sufficient and correct equipment.
  • See that NGG dealing policies and procedures reach every dealer in the assigned area and are followed there.
  • Rotate dealers on schedule and manage breaks so game pace holds.
  • Verify table opens, closes, and inventory counts, and confirm the required signatures.

Guest Experience and Game Protection

  • Cultivate strong guest relations, helping answer questions and settle disputes.
  • Set a professional tone at the pit that guests and staff both feel.
  • Watch the games for advantage play, cheating, collusion, and procedural error, and coordinate with surveillance on anything suspect.
  • Rate player activity accurately where the position is responsible for doing so.
  • Escalate disputes the floor cannot settle to the shift manager.

Team and Workplace Standards

  • Build a climate in which staff feel free to offer ideas, raise concerns, and work through conflict.
  • Coach dealers on procedure and game pace, and escalate performance concerns through the proper channel.
  • Document incidents and irregularities in writing without delay.
  • Hold and keep current a Washington State Gambling Commission card room employee license and any other credential the position requires.
  • Finish all assigned training, including compliance, safety, and refresher training.
  • Use of a personal mobile device anywhere on the gaming floor is not permitted while on the clock; undivided attention to the job is expected throughout the shift.
  • Carry out additional assignments as directed by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience, and Training

  • A college degree, or experience of comparable depth.
  • Five (5) years or more in casino games and operations, held with the appropriate licensure and accompanied by supervisory experience of increasing scope.
  • Applicant must have reached the age of eighteen (18).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Practical familiarity with pull tab operations, along with an understanding of Washington State gambling rules and regulatory requirements.
  • Cultivates an enjoyable atmosphere for every guest.

  • Fosters respect, dignity, and integrity among staff by modeling those qualities personally.
  • Keeps the team intact by investing in training and development, and explains the reasoning behind a practice before asking the team to carry it out.
  • Able to read and understand all documentation.
  • Communicates clearly and consistently with guests and with team members at every level of the organization.
  • Works well alongside colleagues and engages comfortably with members of the public.
  • Presents a tidy, professional image and maintains sound personal grooming standards.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English, including reading comprehension.
  • Competent in the four basic mathematical operations across all units of measure, whether working in whole numbers, fractions, or decimals.
  • Watches several games at once and notices the detail that is out of place.
  • Knows the rules, payouts, and procedures of every game offered on the floor.
  • Holds composure and sound judgment through disputes and incidents.
  • Familiar with table accounting and player tracking systems.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The role is performed in a high-tempo casino setting. Extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting are required, as are speaking, hearing, writing, and fine finger and tactile manipulation. Lifting and carrying of up to thirty pounds (30 lbs.) is required, and heavier loads on occasion. Reaching with the hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling occur regularly, and the incumbent may be exposed to swings in temperature at either extreme.

The shift is worked largely on foot across the pit, under continuous surveillance coverage and at elevated noise levels. Close visual acuity and color discrimination are needed to read cards, chips, and gaming documents. Schedules include nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts based on business needs.
