We are supporting a well established manufacturing organization located in Morgan Hill, CA with their open Operations Manager position.


(Senior Customer Service Manager's from a warehouse/manufacturing industry would be a strong fit for this company)


This is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across customer service, production, purchasing, planning, maintenance, manufacturing, and warehouse functions.


Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Operations Manager will oversee the complete order-to-delivery process, ensuring accurate order management, reliable fulfillment, inventory optimization, and exceptional on-time delivery performance. This individual will play a critical role in aligning cross-functional teams, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the company’s continued growth

  • Managing a Team of 9 direct reports (Mix of Warehouse, Customer Service and Production)



Duties will include:

  • Lead and oversee daily operations across the following departments: Customer Service, Production, Purchasing, Planning, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Warehouse
  • Manage the order-to-delivery process to ensure accurate order entry, efficient production flow, and on-time customer delivery
  • Coordinate purchasing, inventory, production scheduling, and shipping activities to support customer demand and business objectives
  • Monitor backlog, fulfillment performance, delivery commitments, and operational KPIs
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to proactively resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and reduce operational bottlenecks
  • Ensure compliance with established operational procedures and ISO quality standards
  • Review, update, and improve operational processes and documentation
  • Oversee inventory management strategies to maintain product availability while optimizing working capital
  • Manage supplier performance, purchasing activities, and transportation costs
  • Support costing analysis and lead-time evaluations for internal stakeholders
  • Oversee Non-Conformance Report (NCR) processes and ensure timely resolution of quality-related issues
  • Develop, mentor, and lead high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Supply chain Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Relevant professional certifications such as APICS/ASCM (CPIM, CSCP), Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PMP, or related operations and supply chain certifications are highly preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant leadership experience will be considered
  • Strong SAP experience required
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational performance

Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
